About the Event

Free (Public) Event - With Gaby Cadena and Dr. Alejandra Roderiguez!

Come join us to get a stronger handle on your Industrial/Organizational Psychology student journey and upcoming career! During these student meetups, we will help fill in the gaps left by many of the academic programs regarding how to best understand and prepare for the exciting work you will do in the field. We focus on a practitioner-based, rather than academic-based approach. This doesn't mean that we've set aside academics. It means that we simply have conversations for students who want to enter into a career in the workforce, rather than academia after they graduate.

You'll hear from experts in the field who will share their experiences and advice. They'll talk about how to best organize and set yourself up for success during your academic journey. You'll also learn about how to find I/O-related jobs, the scoop on internships, and how to best network to create meaningful and lasting connections. You'll also gain important exposure and get tools and resources relevant in advancing your academic and professional position.

These meetup events are fun and relaxed, with inviting conversation. You'll get to meet new people, listen to interesting talks, and ask questions. We may have short presentations by helpful guests followed by time for Q&A and discussion. You'll have some ideas and gain clarity for what to do next to get closer to your dream job in I/O Psychology and related fields.
