Dr. Jacqueline Minor is the founder and Executive Director for Minor Consulting Group, LLC. She serves as the Director of Human Resources and Operations for the Society of Evidence-Based Organizational Consulting. She was elected to the 2021 NOLA SHRM Board of Directors where she will serve as the Workforce Readiness Director. Her industry experience in Human Resources spans over 15 years working mainly in the oil, gas, and energy sector. She currently works for Phillips 66 as a Human Resource Coordinator.
As an Industrial and Organizational Psychology Consultant, Dr. Minor consults on various workforce development projects. She, along with the Dean of Engineering, and two other Virginia Tech staff members presented the Water Workforce of the Future presentation during the National Science Foundation-Engineering Research Center-Smart One Water Workforce Development Workshop on Wednesday, May 13, 2020. She presented on the topic Attracting & Retaining a Diverse Workforce. She contributed to the White Paper that resulted from this workshop.
Dr. Minor has a PhD and Master of Science in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Capella University. She has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from University of Houston. She holds the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification, received certification in Human Resource Management from Cornell University, and received certification in Human Resource Practice Management from Purdue University. She volunteers her time as a Career Mentor at Capella University. She served on the Career Progression Team as well as the Mentor and Career Development Team while working at Delta Air Lines. She is a member of Psi Chi, The International Honor Society in Psychology, and a contributor to the Franklin Covey Idea Exchange (FIX) roundtable group.
Dr. Minor’s research and professional interests align with resolving complex workplace issues through analyzing, designing, and improving workplace programs such as hiring and selection, workforce development, training, and retention. She has also devised strategic protocols to address
